Tuesday Tea – Green Tea (and Deviled Eggs!)

Good morning!

One of my favorite teas to drink is green tea.  Green tea is full of antioxidants and amino acids that can help support your brain and overall health. It’s refreshing and light and a great start to the morning.  I usually take it with 3 drops of stevia and a drop of grapefruit essential oil. (Side note: if you choose to ingest essential oils, make sure you are using a therapeutic grade oil that you trust). It’s a really refreshing start to the morning! I have been drinking two different kinds lately – Matcha Love* (in bags) and Gypsy Tea Ultimate Green*.  The Gypsy is sweet and mellow and the Matcha Love is clean and bright. It’s also a brighter green color.

Weird fact: I learned a while back that I have terrible dreams when I drink green tea before bed. So, I only ever drink it in the morning these days. Is that weird? I wonder if that happens to anyone else?

Once a week we make deviled eggs – because they are a perfect snack. You can make them extra healthy by using coconut oil mayo or avocado oil mayo. Yellow mustard, salt, pepper, garlic powder, paprika. One deviled egg (half) has 72 calories – 6.7g fat (good, healthy FAT!), 3.3g protein, and less that 1g carbs. Perfect.

I hope I get to meet her sometime.  It says: put the eggs into a rolling boil for 13 minutes exactly. Transfer to bowl of ice water. Peel when cool. Voila. Perfect boiled eggs. Every time. You’re welcome.

Easter is coming soon and I will be posting my Hot Cross Buns recipe next week. If you like Easter, you need these buns.
