Spicy and Tangy "Z" Wings

our take on Zebb Original Wings from Buffalo, NY

Ingredients

  • 4-5 lbs. Chicken wings separated into flats and drummies
  • Non-stick cooking spray
  • Your favorite chicken seasoning (I like Traeger brand)
  • ½ cup buffalo sauce
  • ½ cup blue cheese dressing, plus extra for dipping

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven or grill/smoker to 325 degrees. On a cookie sheet lined with a wire rack, arrange the wings in a single layer. Spray with non-stick spray (or brush with olive oil) and sprinkle liberally with chicken seasoning. Flip the wings and repeat on the other side.
  • Cook for about 55 minutes or until wings reach an internal temperature of 180-185 degrees (times may vary depending on your oven/grill, so start checking the temperature regularly after 30 minutes). While the wings are cooking, mix together the buffalo sauce and blue cheese dressing and set aside. When the wings are ready, remove from heat and place in an oven safe casserole dish. Toss thoroughly with the “Z-sauce” and put back on the smoker or under the broiler for 5-10 minutes or until the glaze begins to set. Serve with blue cheese dressing as a dipping sauce and carrot or celery sticks if you wish. Enjoy!
